This page is created especially for our chocoholic Huntsman and MFH, Kim Sigmon. Her addiction is beyond redemption, but since she isn’t going to reform we might as well give her lots of choices. And she’s hardly alone. If your recipe includes chocolate, it belongs here!

Kahlüa Brownies — very rich, very good
2/3 c. butter
3 one-oz. squares unsweetened chocolate
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour, sifted
1/2 t. baking powder
1/2 t. salt
3 lg. eggs
2 c. sugar
1/2 cup plus 1 T Kahlüa
3/4 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
1/2 c. Ghirardelli 60% cacao bittersweet chocolate chips
Prepeat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9X9 baking pan. Melt butter and chocolate squares in top of double boiler over boiling water. Let cool slightly.
Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt; set aside.
Beat the eggs with the sugar until light. Stir in the chocolate mixture and 1/2 cup of the Kahlüa, then add the flour mixture and blend. Stir in the nuts and bittersweet chips. Turn the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30 min. When the brownies have cooled, brush the top with the remaining tablespoon of Kahlüa.
